Description
In kitsune culture, the sun is held as sacred. It is a gift from the goddess Amatarasu to her creations, allowing them to work, ply their craft and play in itβs nourishing light. Naturally, the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, is considered especially sacred. It is a day of joy and celebrations, a day filled with festivals dedicated to the gods and spirits, a day of marriages. It is believed that marrying during the summer solstice will bring long lives and happiness to the couple, as that is the time the goddess personally attends and bestows her blessings on the newly-weds.
The reason for this pic is pretty simple: I wanted a solo pic of Artemis and the choice was either a cute bride or as a cool battle maid. And since cuteness=justice, the bride won.
As always, this pic was drawn by the lovely Sakura_Rose12 on Twatter.
