Erebus doesnt like strangers and doesnt want to make more friends. But...Rufioh has been getting packed up and hes gone with his parents for awhile. Anyone who saw Erebus saw that he wailed and moped around until Lemon burst into his room- which he'd promptly scrub roughly at his face and leave telling her to go away!!!
He seem to finally get her to leave him alone for a day when she came up to him with a "C'mon Eeby!! Come 'elp me wit some-"
"GET OFF!! YOU"RE N_NOT MY FRIEND YOU"RE R-RUFIOHS FRIEND! J-JUST GO AWAY ALREADY HE"S NOT HERE!!!" He finally snapped at her.

Lemon had froze where she stood and her smile dropped- whatever she had been holding she kinda fiddled with a bit and her tail drooped down. Lemon tried a little quieter "E..But he'll be back Eeby, He said he'd be back tomorrow. I just thought yew'd-"
She didnt get to continue, Erebus stamped all four paws on the floor with angry tears and almost sort of charged at her a bit. This did make Lemon flinch, But erebus stopped when she had not moved an inch.
She looked down at him and...Erebus froze.

Lemon had a look on her that he'd not witnessed yet, it made that anger die down instantly despite how hard he tried to be angry at her constantly following him around.
She looked...like her light went out. Like someone dropped water on the candle.
The tiny voice she gave him now made him unable to look her in the eyes while he drooped down from his stance.
"..I just thought yew'd want sum company while he's gone, Sorry to make yew so angry Erebus"

And something Erebus has seen once too often made his chest tighten

She just....

Erebus sat frozen. She was finally gone but....why didnt he feel better? The annoying girl was finally away from him but..something really didnt feel right at all about it.
hmm....Maybe Rufioh was right when he said why he followed her so much.

He groaned and let out a sigh as he dug at the floor a bit. Not really wanting to but....he did too.
He hoped she'd forgive him, but he needed to say sorry.
He needed to show it but....How would he be able to do that?

Erebus had taken a running start through the tree all the way to the kitchen she frequented, and it hurt yet again to not see her there.
He did see a plate of cookies on the counter though, along with a kit who stood near them, reaching for one.
Erebus tried to clear his throat first but it still came out so pitifully squeaky, though now it cracked horribly. Gross "e-excuse me um...c-could i have one of those? T...The cookies on the counter"

He was given one and he gave a mumbled "thankyou" While trying them, attempting to try being friendly but....Erebus hoped the kit would ignore him honestly. He wanted to be sure these werent raisn.
He grabbed another now that he knew it was chocolate, perfect for lemon. He hoped anyway, she loves bakes things so...cookie.

The kit did look though, and Erebus didnt like the expression.
"w..whats wrong?"

Erebus just looked at himself and ....He dropped his cookies as he witnessed the awful things sprouting from his back.
"w-whats happened??? Whats in those cookies???" They were so wet looking and flapping the more panicked he got.
Erebus ended up scream crying for help as he bolted away, the cookie can wait.
