Description
This is a colourful little parrot I painted a while back; I just recalled the species name today, so I changed the title from "Parrot" to "Green-Cheeked Conure".
This is 5" by 7", watercolour.

I apologize for the lateness of my response. I'm afraid I shot this image back when I had a lousy computer, and the image quality isn't high enough for prints; I'll look through my folder and see if I can find a higher-resolution image to set as a print.
I know how you feel about losing your bird - I have a conure myself, and we're really very attached to her. I'm so sorry to hear about that.

wooow. For the record, this is a yellow-sided green cheek... and I happen to have one (he's on the left. The lady on the right is a maroon belly). You did a great job (scratch that. KILLER job)... and I reeeeeaaaly want a print. You have no idea.

I was watching an old episode of Little Britain today and i thought of you. There is this guy sitting at a table in a fancy restaurant placing his order, and he says, "I'll have the fois gras, with peas and pearl onions, with the french onion soup for starters. And a Yorkie...buttered."

My absolute favourites on the show are Maggie and Judy, the two old ladies who keep tasting things at the fair. When Maggie threw up all over a little girl, I thought I was going to hurt myself from laughing. She gets these wonderful expressions just before her explosion of sick.

Well, I think the point is really to show how stupid racism is, and homophobia, and all of that. They really were a clever couple of guys. It took me about three episodes to figure out it was the same two guys!

Thanks very much! I think the texture of feathers lends itself well to watercolour - it'd be a lot harder in, say, pencil.
