It's sad that big watermarks must be used, because of silly thieves... :/ But don't worry, it's real fine anyway, it really is Good job Chris

Thanks again! I hate the watermark, too, because I really want to share my work with the world, but more on my terms, if you get my meaning.

Yep, I get it I wouldn't like people stealing my stuff or using it without asking me either.. Not like the risk is very big for me, but since you're a serious artist who's selling your paintings, I understand.

Well, it can happen to anyone if it happened to me.

Thanks! When I saw the photo i used for this one, I really liked the look of the calico. "Hey, you're leaning on me. I'm a little annoyed about that."
Hey - I see that Yuna is featured in pishum's Journal!

It's . I noticed she just updated her journal, so it's probably in previous journal entries. She did a feature with just art of girls - it was cool!

Nice work I sought of agree with the first comment regarding the water mark but it's such a shame for the genuine ones you want to see it at its best, but better to be safe than sorry

Thanks very much! Well, I hate using the watermark, but a lot of my livelihood comes from selling prints - I can't just have people passing around my work like a box of M & M's.

I should read before i push send cos i tend to type as it sounds in my head if that makes sense, i normally rely on spell check but this doesn't have it

RamonaQ In reply to Dabull04 [2007-05-25 07:01:30 +0000 UTC]

I don't even know how to use spell check. I understand spell check can get pretty confused - take this perfectly spelled sentence, for example: "Merry head a lid dell lam; ids fleas woes wide has know."

Believe it or not, I'd guessed! I guess there's enough Welsh blood in me to know a bit about "the pit".

We took the kids to an old colliery that been converted into a museum, it makes you shiver to see the age of the younger kids getting up early hours of the morning to go down the pits, it's good for showing the kids of today how easy life really is for them

In the Southern United States, we had similar child labour, but they were factory workers for the most part. A lot of the textile workers in the 19th century were kids working long hours for a pittance. The photos are really disturbing, but I'd think kids working mines would be worse...

Thanks! I was really lucky with Moose's owner because when she sends me photos to commission work, they're always wonderful snaps and she sends a tonne of them! I always check to make sure she doesn't mind if I paint extras.

I promise these are not your cats. They are the "brother and sister" of Moose, the siamese I posted a while ago. Glad you like it!

Yey, another cat picture!!!

Absolutely delicious...makes me want to snuggle up with both of them. The ginger cat especially looks so like one of my mum's cats (an ex-stray called Jim). You've really captured the languidity of the cat at rest.

I like the expression on the other cat; like he's almost asleep but he knows you're watching. You can never get one over on a cat lol

Thanks very much! I really wanted to make that eye on the calico just barely open, to give her that "You're leaning on me, and I'm just a tad annoyed about it" look.
