Description Animal studies in watercolour on a big old 16" by 20" sheet. I generally work very small, and 16" by 20" is really an awfully large sheet of paper for me.

Thanks very much! I used to raise cockatiels, so I have a soft spot for them. Hey! Thanks for looking in the Scraps, too - not a lot of people bother.

Thank you very much! I have a lot of things in the Scraps for a variety of reasons. I'm not very fond of the "montage" look of this one, but it was a commission, so I had to paint it the way they asked for it. I really appreciate the kind words, and thanks for looking through the Scraps - not many people take the time. ^_^

Well, I don't usually do montages, but I'll occasionally make an exception.

you know it! My owl drawing, which everyone seems to like, I look at it and its much more "free" than I usually do so I see all my loose lines in it and cringe a little lol. but everyone loves it.

Yes, you have to think of the client... thats the only reason I've gotten As in my classes at college.. lol, the orange tabby I did didn't fit my "style" for the last assignment, but she said I was at least thinking of the "client" when I did it, which is for my bestest friends, and the colors fit them, and stuff... so I got an A because, despite the not being my painting style, I did what I'm supposed to do in thinking of the client... lol Man, I talk too much.

Aw, "style" is over-rated! I think I've finally gotten to where I have a "style" in the pet paintings, but I usually paint to suit the subject, I guess. And if your owl has "loose lines" I'll eat my hat.
Hey, my wife and daughter are going to be up in your neck of the woods in a couple of weeks to look at college campuses: Mankato State (oh, I mean "MSU at Mankato", excuse me...) St. Olaf, and a couple of others. They'll be staying in Odeina.
And while I'm just blabbering, I had a friend who named his cat DeLint, after the poet...

Gee, thanks! I see you're one of the few who bothers to look at the Scraps. I always try to look at people's Scraps too, because sometimes there's a real jewel in there, even if it's just a sketch or a doodle. So thank you for taking the time.

This was actually a commission, but these "collage"-type paintings aren't really my cuppa, so I put it in the Scraps. I think the lady who ordered it is going to cry - most of those pups have passed on. I didn't charge enough. D:

I didn't even notice it was in scraps. I just see the pictures and look at them, regardless of where they're placed ;D

Oh, that's a sad story to accompany such a pretty picture..

I'd imagine these sorts of pictures take a lot of time..
