Just like in the previous series, whose hyphenated links are already posted above, this post is based on a series of scenarios, which could also be simultaneous with their counterparts in Yorkshire, Sussex and Essex(as well as the rest of England), that would culminate in the devolution of powers from Westminster to Wessex, which in this TL encompassed a relatively large area (OTL Wessex NHS map with the rest of Wiltshire added).


The attributed coat of arms of Edward the Confessor (and the House of Wessex in general, courtesy of Sodacan ) is indeed reused to represent the modern English region of Wessex and its institutions: In the case of its own regional government, a variant of St. Edward's Crown (also courtesy of Sodacan ) is used as the crest.
