Weeks ago, I wrote this AH Philippines concept in my previous post:

This time the principal PoD was set in the pre-colonial era: an ATL version of Kingdom of Namayan expanded to most parts of the archipelago as a mandala, where the mother tongue of the Namayan core region (OTL Bulacan-Manila-Cavite-Rizal area, later OTL Iloilo and western Negros were included) and the lingua franca was a Filipinized variant of Malay (e.g. Philippine focus, domination of pan-Philippine words, etc.) because of the ethnogenesis of the Namayan ethno-linguistic group.Beside the said concept (the main problem that I currently have on my brainstorming is reconstructing a mix of Malay/Indonesian and pan-Philippine or proto-Philippine words within the common grammar laws of the Philippine languages like the focus), I also developed another AH concept, possibly related to ATL Namayan universe, involving Ryukyu and Taiwan together: in this concept, the Ryukyuans retained their Austronesian heritage, especially their language; Chinese-style administration and culture were brought to the archipelago via Japan, and it mixed with the indigenous traditions of the Ryukyuans. At the same time, in the island of Formosa/Taiwan, the Ryukyuans settled its northern coast (OTL Taipei Basin, settled by the Ketagalans) and its fishermen intermarried with indigenous Formosan women in the rest of the island, principally in the east coast: the western tribes intermarried with both Chinese (mostly Hoklo) and Japanese fishermen; unlike in OTL, their children were raised in mixed culture, speaking the languages spoken by their Austronesian mothers and their clans/families (The Hoklo/Japanese father learned and spoke the languages of their spouses, FYI). After a series of complicated events that happened in Ryukyus and Formosa/Taiwan, the archipelago was unified and consolidated as a nation-state. The language spoken in this ATL Ryukyu-Formosa/Taiwan was a direct descendant of proto-Austronesian language with affinity to both Northwestern Formosan and Atayalic languages, and their writing system is a descendant of kana system of writing: hiragana for writing Austronesian words, and katakana for Sino-Xenic and foreign words: Chinese characters are reserved for personal names and places.
So for the flag itself, well I actually based on the basic design of the other Ryukyuan flag ; the only difference is that there's no white star in the upper left corner, and obviously, the emblem is different.
