Description
The main PoD behind this post is the settlement of OTL ancestors of the Icelanders in the Scottish Highlands and in most parts of the Lowlands north of Clyde and Forth, then known as Pictland; Honestly, I personally admit that such PoD itself was difficult to justify and a reason to doubt its plausibility, especially if there's Gaelic-speaking neighbors at the west. But if the PoD is actually 99.9% plausible, the history of the British Isles in general could be more or less different from what we know in OTL, especially England. After all, Northumbria, which in this scenario included the Lothians and Scottish Borders, could be the ATL counterpart of OTL Scotland, while Cumbria (or Strathclyde), which in this scenario included the Isle of Man, could the ATL substitute to OTL Northern Ireland, especially if majority of the people there retained their mother tongue, which is the descendant of Old West Norse.

Anyway, the design of the ATL English flag is simple: It combined the crosses that symbolized the two principal patron saints of the country, St. Alban and St. George; another symbolism is the union of the Anglian (Mercia, East Anglia and Deira/Yorskhire; Northumbria is sometimes included) and Saxon (Wessex, Essex, Sussex and even Kent, which is actually Jute) domains, although East Anglia has a St. George cross in its flag.

I've corrected the variant of the St. Alban's cross as I now used the one recommended by the Flag Institute back in 2014 .
