Sometimes, the best villains are the ones you don't see coming. They have no build up or hints of existing, and then the story throws them at you at full speed.

That's how I felt when Paper Mario 2 dropped The Shadow Queen on me, when I was expecting nothing but treasures behind the Thousand Year Door. I tend to like Mario games more when they throw curve balls or have a villain that isn't Koopa for a change. Like most of the Thousand Year Door entries, Shadow Queen's design is pretty unique and stayed in my memory longer. Plus, the added bonus of a posessed Princess Peach added a general creepyness to the fight itself.

Not exactly how Rhiannon wanted to be "deep inside" Charlotte, but this will do for now.
