THE NAME is in reference to furcadia's portrait rules and the perpetual usage of the word 'icky'.This portrait was rejected. I did not think ONCE about this portrait being rejected while I was making it. I figured it would be accepted because I've seen numerous portraits with just as much or MORE blood in them uploaded in the game.
I have sent in a complaint to the portraits department of furcadia, as did the commissioner, but we've yet to recieve any information other than it's 'got too much blood'.
I not only refuse to edit the portrait, but CANNOT edit the portrait. Once a portrait is completed I can only do minimal edits without it looking like total and utter shit, considering I have very little/no training in digital art, and most of the 'art' portion is done out in paper and pencil beforehand.
I sincerely hope furcadia will take my request seriously and reconsider the rejection of this portrait.

It doesn't look like reducing the amount of blood would require any kind of structural change. Should just be a quick recolor.

yea I could edit it a bit, but to the extent they'd probably like me to, I dunno, it'd probably take me as much time as it did just to shade the damn thing, and I couldn't guarantee it would look nice anymore.

I do not personally do reviews of portraits, however, the form letter typically explains why a portrait has been rejected. Rejections are final and arguing with me or the reviewers will not change the rejection, please make logical corrections to the artwork to make it viewable by a teen+ audience and be mindful of the portrait rules in the future.
If other portraits you have done violate the rules and you would like them removed I can do this for you.

i've seen ports hovering around with much more blood then that.
then they approve ports where the panties and penis bulges are showing, or hands touching around the genital region, which, imo, is way worse then some blood. everyone sees blood, i think the 'kids of furcadia' can handle it.

lol, yea in my e-mail to them I gave a few examples of portraits as bloody/violent or moreso and then wrote 'don't even get me started on the overtly sexual portraits I've seen.' lmao.

Furcadia staff seem to be a little dull on the uptake with port approvals, for the love of christ they let so many damn stolen ones in this should make no difference!
I sincerely hope they approve it, your art and the commissioner deserve the appreciation of the works and character. I've seen far far worse be approved!
