Saw a post suggesting that maybe Cinderella was a trans woman and that's why her stepmother treated her like crap and wouldn't let her go to the ball.
And why she told the Prince there wasn't any women left in the house because she insists that Cinderella is a man. It could also explain the shoe size not being common among women.

Here the fairy godmother has just helped Cindy get ready for the ball and she's seeing her reflection .
