Description
A few uninterrupted hours with the tablet yields this [link] in color. I forgot how goddamn fun it is to draw like this.I actually finished this about four hours ago, but I hesitated to upload because I couldn't come up with a decent title. I still don't really like "Swoop."
I should try drawing actual backgrounds every once in a while, shouldn't I?

It's most likely the pose you did right in this picture making the neck and the wings have an almost arch-like shape, and that perfect cell shading. Ontop of that the fact that it has desert colors gives quite a warm feeling to the whole thing, and it's orderly. You don't have this feeling like "Oh my god, where should I start looking-". Damn, I don't understand why haven't commented on this yet.

A: I answer it is because the color scheme of this dragon is appealing to the eye as well as the position (whereas most of your dragons are just standing)

Ah, you make a good point. Is it odd that I draw a ton of dragons in flight (where there's more opportunity for dramatic poses) but I rarely scan and color them? Go figure.
