Description
Leaving his family netsuke shop, the young merchant goes out to see the world.One of the designs sold at CelebrAsian 2009 yesterday on mugs and shirts.
A bit different from what I usually do...
The first character in a "series" I'm trying to develop with around the theme of a modern "Alternate Edo" thus the headphones and wristwatch. And though he sells traditional netsuke too, Goichi's primary business is in cellphone keychains.

Yes! CelebrAsian in Iowa! So far, we're still planning on returning to sell mugs and shirts this year and this design is one of them. (we'll be in the "Japanese Village" with the Japan America Society of Iowa)
