Description And here ends my Harry Potter book covers series!
I don't understand why official covers seem to avoid using the symbol of the deathly hallows at all, sincerely. Maybe it's not comprehensible enough for those who approach the series for the first time?

The colors on this one are scarily appropriate. Even just looking at the deathly hallows symbol on greyscale is enough to bring some of that pain of the first read-through back. Nice job!

This last cover was someway the easiest for me. It came obvious to me that
- it should have the deathly hallows symbol
- it should be on greyscale as the atmosphere is not anymore enthusiastic like the first one but dark and suffered, an adult book

You're exactly right, honestly. I'm one of those die-hard fans that grew up with the books, and the last three were especially hard. I was a senior when this one came out, and I remember locking myself in my room for the day because it completely destroyed me to finish it. Not only was it dark, suffering, and painful, but it also marked the end of the series, and that was a really painful thing to realize too. The seventh book marks the end of a lot of things, and it never really gets any easier to read.
Having the darker cover might have prepared 18-year-old me a little better for the darkness within the book, I'm not sure. But I remember staring at the super bright yellow and red jacket on the American release and feeling sort of betrayed. I had been hoping for something more uplifting, and instead it ripped my heart out and decimated my feelings.

10 out of 10, would totally read this edition of the whole series (with your covers) and suffer again.

The Italian original cover is more appropriate. You see two anonymous figures with black cloaks covering them totally, with a light grey background, and on the back there's a white fawn (it's useless to explain what it refers to).

That sounds much more fitting. Ours is just Harry reaching up one hand to an orange sunset, and there's a hint of Voldemort on the back. Not even his face, just his creepy bony hands and his cloak. You can kinda see a crowd shadowed into the background, and the whole thing looks like they're in some sort of arena, but Voldemort's hiding behind a curtain.

It was. . .maybe not the best way of telling us what was in store.
