Description Just realized that I've had the garden size Escargot and George the Tortoise sitting in the living room and have never submitted shots of them. Both are approx. 3 feet long.
When the weather is better I'll take some good shots of them.
This is the in between size of the table top and the giant size of each...
As you can see I'm doing my impersonation of our pug.
Rufus decided he needed to be in the picture as well...
Can you see Mark Newman's Devil Dude behind me?
One of my favorite pieces...
This particular piece is in Spectrum 14...
For a better look go to his site at [link]
Just thought I'd take a shot of something rather than doing what I'm supposed to be doing...
Ever had days like that?
Ps. If you look on the left window of the entertainment center, you'll see a reflection of a skull...
This is a huge painting on the opposite wall done by my niece who I'm trying to convince to join DA soon.
You'll all love her work.
We've collected a really fun eclectic bunch of art from friends, and people we've met at art shows.
We have many skeletons, skulls, bones and such...in addition to some really fun odd stuff...
Gives the place a really cool energy.

HI! I just did a google search & saw you said you are good friends with Cesar Naranjo. I own 4 of his geckos but would really LOVE to purchase one more from him. I have been searching for him for a year. Is there any way you could put us in contact with each other? I have emailed him at cesargeckos@yahoo.com many times. Please! They are my most favorite thing I own. I would love one more in my collection.
Thank you,
Dayna

Hey,Randy, my "studio" is full of skulls, too!
About 300 in all, from Homo sapiens to Troglodytes troglodytes.
You have loads of cool stuff!

Spike.

RandyHand In reply to Gorgosaurus [2010-01-29 19:23:19 +0000 UTC]

That's awesome Spike!
There's something so fascinating about bones, skulls, etc...isn't there?
What's fun is that almost all of our art and junk has been collected by trading with friends that we meet at art shows etc...
There was one time years ago that I got a bronze from someone because I liked the piece..
A while later I finally realized what an ass this person was.
I sold it because it just reminded me of what an ass this guy was.
We can only have things in the house that bring good memories and good feelings...
HOpe all is great with you man!
Take care

At least once a week.

Looks like a lovely home to live in. First thought the pug in front was a cat actually.

Great to know I'm not alone!
We really do like it here.
The guy that had it here before us covered the finished hardwood floors with white.
It was an icky kind of bachelor pad before we rolled our sleeves up and tore in to the whole place.
We still have a long way to go, but that's fine...
keeps me out of trouble...heh heh

Sounds like you came and saved the place. Always good to have a project I suppose. A house you can work on for generations.

I actually paused while reading the comments to check on the Mark Newman piece... That's when my attention was completely stolen by a faint image of a really awesome skull on the left. But yeah, Mark's piece is cool too.

And you're really good at making impressions

Been having a few days like that. It's so dull and rainy here, just can't seem to get going. But once I start, I can't stop, ahhhhh! Love the art, looks good, I just wonder what those hands are at the very top of the photo, a frog?

Yeah...Rainy and cold days are a battle sometimes...
Thanks for liking the artwork...
Actually that's a bronze gecko sculpture done by a good friend named Cesar Naranjo.
He's got some really great work...He does frogs as well.
Thanks again,
