I'm a little disappointed that his right ear is a bit pinched and is narrower than the left, but he's content with how it looks. Aside from that, though, I'm very pleased with the way he turned out! Using the cotton to sculpt up his eye area was definitely a good idea, although it did sort of cling to the leather side in some places. I still need to go through and really clean it all out.

As I feared, the downy fur behind his ears is not quite as fluffy as it was before he was reshaped, though I'm looking into possible ways to fix that. So far, I've just been dampening the fur and fluffing it gently with a towel, which seems to be helping. Many thanks to and for their advice!

In the center picture, you might notice something in his left nostril. That's the head of one of the pins I stuck into his nose to try and keep his nostrils open as they dried. Unfortunately, I pushed both pins in too deeply, and the cartilage hardened around them both, making them impossible to remove. I could in theory rehydrate his nose again and work them out, but that feels like too much hassle. Besides, he doesn't mind them being in there, and it's the mark of what is honestly a hilarious anecdote. It's certainly a foolishness befitting Coyote.

All that's really left to do now is find leather for the straps and figure out a way to attach them. I've thought about trying to rehydrate and shape his paws better, as they're rather lumpy, but we'll see what happens.
