I do have a question though, other than practice, how could I improve my art?

tbh i'm not actually sure if theres a way to improve without actually making things in the first place
the closest you can get is to read up on art techniques, like color theory or fundamental stuff. Otherwise, you could look up videos of people drawing and see if you can use any techniques they're using.
another thing you could do is mess around with whatever art program you use and see if there's ways to stream line your art process (so you could practice more quickly) and/or if there's settings or options that let you do things that would further enhance your pic (again, there's probably videos about these sorts of things yep)
but you have to put anything your learn into practice eventually haha
