Isn't this that giant almost LOTR-ish eagle which lived in NZ? Awesome work, this would be so scary in real life; run, kid!Β

It was giant and did live in NZ, but not LOTR-sized.

It was nowhere near LOTR-ish size.
A bit under 3 meter wingspan most of the time.

Not that it matters when you're a five-year-old kid about to get his spine snapped.

well I don't play ARK but it is on my list of must plays, but Aberration is so awesome.
giant digging snakes! zip-line walking dog-things? chest-bursting monsters! giant crabs!? this DLC is loaded to the max!!!
just go on YouTube and look for some game-plays.

Sadly the youtube media is trying to slur how 'terrible' the DLC is for drama.
But anyways I like the artwork

also the Crowned Hawk Eagle is the only bird of prey to have been documented making predatory attacks on humans. A boy had his arm ripped off by one of them

I got the info from this book
www.amazon.com/Man-Hunted-Primβ¦
looking over the relevant chapter, I saw that the boy while severally injured he did not in fact loose an arm.I either misread it our am thinking of another incident from the book
If you like I will post a screen shot of the page with the relevant info (Would that get me in trouble, for violation of copy right ?)
The whole book is very interesting as it contains a treasure trove of info on the subject predation on humans and other primates
