One of two barn cats we have at Danada. This is Bernie and he likes to watch us do chores from atop the carriage.


6/30/22 - Bernie was diagnosed with advanced abdominal cancer and earned his wings today when he was humanly euthanized, he was 12 years old. Bernie was always happy to greet visitors, volunteers and staff with meows and purrs as we entered the barn. He was always very gentle when visitors stopped to pet him and of course to lavish him with treats.Β  He will be greatly missed by his brother Clyde, Danada staff and volunteers as well as those who visit the barn. Rest In Peace Bernie.

Perfect. I don’t usually find a lot of animal lovers here: in fact a lot of people actually seriously.. get angry??? That I love them?? So much flames in my comments sections: especially when they notice my bio says I only eat plants- -and I’m not telling them to change their ways or anything (it’s just harmlessly in my bio) β€”they still take offense for some reason and I never know what to do because I don’t want them to get angrier ;(
But when I find fellow animal lovers like yourself I feel so much comfort.. like I don’t have to stress so much. I love it when animals are treated with respect!! Thank you for being such a kind soul
