This photo is pretty neat. I agree with you, I love the reddish feet, for an almost black and white photo the feet really pop in a good way.
The birds tail feathers are fanned out beautifully. I like how there is movement in his wings as well. I think that the birds head looks a little out of focus probably from motion blur but it is not so bad that it takes away from the photo.
I think that the composition is lacking a little, in my personal opinion based on my own tastes I would have love to see the bird either to the left or right not smack dab in the middle (that is just my opinion though).
