They never did reveal why the Hulk never came out in 'Infinity War', did they?

The Russo Brothers stated in a podcast interview that the actual reason of Hulk refusing to "come out" wasn't him being scared of Thanos (while he certainly was taken back a bit by being so easily defeated), but rather Hulk simply being tired of Banner only using him when he needs him during a battle and refusing so to spite him.

The two ideas I heard is that he was either scared of Thanos or just tired of always having to solve Banner's problems
