Description OMG this thing killed me.

The final assignment of my Cartooning and Charicature class--draw and color a 12-14 panel 'silent' comic based on a well-known fairy-tale that you've re-invented.

I originally wanted to do a story about Snow White being a crack addict and going through rehab in a dwarf clinic with Doc's six mental patients, but that was too complex to convey in the paramaters of the assignment.

Then a fellow classmate, stuck on ideas, said he wanted to do a story on 'The Ugly Duckling', and instantly this concept popped into my head. A little refining, and I turned this in.

I've already gotten a critique to see what I could improve--for instance, perhaps 2 more panels, as well as a bit more dynamic shots--nearly every one of my panels is rather 'staged'.

Obnoxious watermark because this is one of the more polished works I've done in forever, and hopefully this would be nice to self-publish one day.

And they finally accept him after saving them from a hunter.

Great job.

Oh, NOW I get it-- *doofus is slow*-- I thought the panel of the gryphon in attack mode and the dude with the reeds were two separate shots. Makes sense now! The top line of the reeds just looked like a panel line in black and white.

Love it. : )

Yeah, I realize the inks made it seem like they were different panels, especially with the even layout I used too. Glad it's easier to read as one panel with the colors ^^
