Name: Avija ( Avi-yah )
Meaning of name: My "father" is "god".
Age: Adult
Phenotype: Leucistic ( Blue eyed White )
Offsprings ; Ranulfr
Note ; this character is NOT canon or anything, it's just because I feel like drawing Ranulfr with a mother and there's none and none has ever been mentionned in the comic or any off-screen sketches so far...
To me she is the one sent down by the gods to "create" Ran :3. Thus the meaning of her name ( took me like 2hours to find xD ).
Following my theory, she also has the deep blue eyes of the "pure" ones.
She was the "pure" side that Ranulfr got when he was very young. She was the one, the star, his mom, his love.
And then... the hell started... ( Reference yourself on the comic to the flashbacks about Rohgir, the father of Ran' ).
Trying to stay pure, trying to keep hope in this world...
But only seeing despair, hate and etc...
The pure one got corrupted...
The pure one almost got saved (by Lifa )...
But the pure one again lost himself, the corruption was too strong...
And then, Ragnarok just began...
The other pure one were took away ( Finn, Aergeirr ), before the corruption went to them.
Because corrupting the purest soul is lighting the fire of despair.
Corrupting the pure ones is launching the Ragnarok.
Edited to fit the lineart I bought from Johan-N . I did the shading and whatever else lol.
Now I must deffinitly one day get a commission from Kique of Avija and Ranulfr, meeting as adults in an "other world", her smiling peacefully at him who became pure again after death, saying to him « You tried, son, I forgive you. Here, you can be yourself again, son. You found your soul, it was here, and your body was there, in Asmundr, without your soul. » or something like that... With Ran having a kind of "omg how could I be that much horrible" almost crying.....

What I mean is that your character Avija, might have been made cannon into the Home's story line after all, or at least close enough to be an inspiration. The Matriarch of Home is a white shield wolf with blue eyes.
All is fine as long as Kique got your permission.

Yep! Of course, it was quite a while back when I asked him, back when "Asmundr" hadn't ended yet, and the comments on those pages have since been disabled, so I can't link that conversation, unfortunately... But the possibility of seeing Ranulfr's mother intrigues me; I've always wanted to know what she looks like. ^^
I actually thought of that too, as I have the theory that Aedra is the world where the shield wolves were meant to be, before the green ones stole them... Maybe there are (or were) even a few uncorrupted shield wolves living there? Maybe Ranulfr's mother could be one of them? Of course, she would obviously be very old by now, so it's unlikely... But it's definitely a cool idea. Especially since we now know that other Akiulfrs exist; if Father didn't simply create more, via the original three Akiulfr's (Roghir, Jahla, and Argeirr) DNA, I had the theory that, maybe, there are pure shield wolves, uncorrupted by the green ones' influence, living on Aedra, and that they coexisted (and interbred) with the local dogs that live there, creating the Akiulfrs... But I don't know. Whatever the case, I'm excited to find out more. ^^

Yep! I noticed that... I'm really glad that my theory of the Matriarch being the last living Liulfr (and possibly Ranulfr's mother) turned out to be true... She's beautiful. I do wonder, though, if Kique got this person's permission to use their theory/design for Ranulfr's mother, or if he just kinda.. "stole" the idea. Considering he has known about it for a while, had previously told Avija's creator that he loved their theory, as well as the character, I'm thinking he probably did get their permission; especially since Avija's creator once told me that they would love it if Avija became canon to Kique's stories, but even so... I'm curious. ^^

Yeah that's what I am wondering too. All is fine as long as Kique got permission to use parts of Avija's character and design. If not then that would be a problem. But yes I was thinking along the lines of there having to be an "uncorrupted" shieldwolf and thinking she could be white furred, just like how Ran's fur turned when he died.After seeing the last page with the fringed paw hint, I went back and reread the first comic. After that, I was thinking the Matriarch could likely be a shield wolf and then proved to have guessed right.
There were some pretty good hints suggesting so, considering the Matriarch is rather secretive, mysterious, only allows a few select "people" to see her and seems to hold within her a bit of magical power (I suspect she was the one who left the glowing paw prints in scattered places to help guide dogs to shelter). Given the attitudes the Flame tribe had about meeting Jahla and Thacker, I'd guess that Shieldwolves and the like don't have a good reputation with the other dogs. It is unknown yet if they got that from their life (or ancestors lives) from Earth retold from stories or if they had later experiences with Shieldwolves on Aedrea.

And yeah, I'd love to see Kique draw her too actually ( no matters if it would be my version or not ).
The ''lol'' fact is that my theory on the blue eyes ones and about how the shield wolves were supposed to be the dominant specie all ended up being true...
In my own version, Avija is actually the only one insisting that they have to be dominant by protecting and helping the already existing species, not by killing and enslave them all. The not corrupted one, the one that no one listened so everything ended in blood and war.
On my side, she was simply killed when Ran' was still pup, just after being weaned, because she wouldn't follow the path the green ones wanted them to follow. She wanted the peace, but they took her son, her family, so she simply died of a broken heart ( wich is scientifically possible to ).

I had started a ''prequel'' on that story above actually, with Kique's aprooval. I just didnt got time to actually start it for real.

No problem. <3 I hope Kique remembers that he said he would draw Ranulfr's mother (as she obviously didn't appear in the comic), as I would really love to see her. In fact, a family pic of her, Rohgir, and puppy Ranulfr all together before they were stolen by the green ones would be interesting to see, and so adorable too, I imagine (but not sure if Kique would be up for that, of course). ^^
And yeah, I too had the theory that the shield wolves were a corrupted species, stolen by the green ones, but originally created by the Sky Gods... and that Rohgir, Ranulfr's father, was really referring to the Sky Gods, and not the green ones, when he was speaking to his son of their creators. My mind was completely blown when I found out I was right, and I still can't believe it, honestly. lol

I've never been much into making fanfictions over someone else universes/comics, but dunno, I feel like adding a comic-like background to this actual character :3 ( and developping up my brainfreak theory lol ).
