My favorite is Omoya. There's something about a hero dressed in all white. Plus, a bow with a magical string? And it probably shoots magical arrows, too? Always awsom.
I also like Heru's design a-lot. We haven't had too many scantily clad male fantasy heroes since the 70's. People like Conan and John Carter of Mars are the exception, nowadays.

sigh, I'd be lying if I said lele wasn't my favorite character...
complicated thing is,omoya is the type of girl I always wanted as a child(started my crush on the ladies as early as 1st grade)and,god willing, she's truthfully the kind of women I'd still want today.
Heru is, in fact, a warrior, the kind of male I'd look up to in real life, a simple person of principle. and I find it crazy that you hit the nail on the head by making references to the 80s, when I grew up. my example would, of course,had been he-man, or, for the hard-core, Shaka Zulu.
