Inktober Day #26 is Raven from Teen Titans. Raven is probably "THE" Gothic character icon when people think of animated Gothic characters and the cool part about her is that she actually is genuinely Gothic-inclined due to her wide array of literature she reads. It's pretty no surprise that Raven is my number one favorite Teen Titans characters in a show of an awesome, unforgettable cast of characters and easily one of my favorite animated characters of all time. I found her character very relatable growing up (ever since the episode "Spellbound") and it was just nice to have a character like her to grow up with.
The only disappointing thing about her character is that they didn't let her interact and mingle with Jinx when she became good and Argent mainly because the show got cancelled but I know I'm not the only one who wished they all could've met and hey, if the show ever does come back, hopefully they will.
Anyway, it was so much fun drawing Raven and I definitely may draw some more of her in the future but for now, Inktober was the perfect time to draw her.

Well I mean, she sacrificed herself to save the city from a volcanic meltdown and I can't think of anything else she could've done to fix the mess she helped create lol.

And when she did come back in that cliff-hanger episode, after watching a YouTube review of the show done by Lowart, his analysis for why the episode was written that way made some sense.

Actually a lot of fans speculate that she does remember but she's choosing to pretend like she doesn't remember. She did a lot of messed up things to the Titans and it's not out of bounds that she really doesn't want to remember all the bad things she did to them.
As for her surviving, it could have something to do with her power being tied to the earth and how maybe she went into a hibernation state when she turned to stone and at some point, was able to awaken from it.

Well to be fair, there are only actually 5 actual "Goth" characters, most of these characters aren't "Goth", they're Darkly-Inclined. And to answer your question, just look at my YouTube channel "Kai_Decadence" and it should be clear why a lot of these kinds of characters appeal to me
