Description Cat on scratchboard detail.
To get the layered effect, every hair (line) was meticulously scratched in with variations of depth and width. I especially like the fur on the ridge of the nose and the stippling technique on the flesh area of the tip of the nose. Note the eyes are executed using the stippling technique. There has been no ink applied to any areas of this piece in an attempt to cover mistakes. It is what it is.

This is so incredible, I can't believe you aren't just spending all your time making stuff like this. I really need you to start working with me because I found a lot of incredible opportunities for me and my art friends, and actually your art will really accelerate the goals of these really awesome new people I met. They are trying to get artists around phoenix to just stay in touch with each other and let each other know about cool opportunities. For example they found me a cool art gig, I will get paid 75 dollars an hour, for 3-5 hours to paint at this museum.

I really want you to hear all of my good news, so send me a note or an email. I am busy with work, so that's why I was delayed in putting your work up, also the site wasn't letting me put anything up...

I'm glad you like this ... the larger image has more info about its conception. This was about 20 hours of work.
