This was one of my most enjoyable art attempts.
The detail in the "sublime" was the icing on the cake. Did you find the toaster?
Glad you enjoyed it.

That wood texture and carving looks so amazing, I feel like I'm gonna get a splinter if I rub my hand across it. And the shading within the carved marks is really precise.

Thank you. I enjoyed doing the wood. The key has a ribbon tied to it. I especially like the way the key and lock came out.

That and the Glass looking things in the corners. The feathers are really cool, it almost looked like those leaves near the feathers transition from each other.

Perhaps they are transitioning or morphing. Only the artist knows for sure.

I LIKE THIS.
It has a strong Patrick Woodroffe www.patrickwoodroffe-world.com/ vibe. And that's a GOOD THING.

Do you know much about patrick woodroffe? someone else told me my stuff reminds me of him as well. He has good stuff, too bad his website is tedious to navigate.

Valkyries were goddess/wimen spirits who would take the fallen in the battle to Valhala-the heaven of dead brave worriors to service a Odin.

Thank you for your input. Isn't mythology a wonderful procession of traditions that have evolved throughout times, cultures and beliefs? Each attempting to give solace to those trying to understand the natural universe that surrounded them.

fobia8 In reply to Rathsi [2012-08-05 21:21:01 +0000 UTC]
I have huge collection of various mythology. The mythology I am the most interested in is Slavic mythology because is the less studied and there is very few written stuff about it. I want to study it and reconstruct her.
