This is picture 53 of my 365 ([link] )Dalamar the daft, up close.. he looks terribly serious, considering he's like a puppy in attitude and is constantly licking things.. but yes, suitable gravitas for a portrait..
I've been wanting to capture a decent shot of the little white patch on his nose for ages! He's also got a little white chin and paws.

Aw, don't feel left out - Rabbits are a lot of work really (certainly compared with the rats and our hamster) and they need a lot of space etc. You have the best of both worlds if your friends are getting them.. none of the work, but you can still get to cuddle their rabbits

True... very true indeed. And I get exercise! I have to walk half a mile to my friends' places just to cuddle their rabbits but its all worthwhile! They are absolutely the cutest!

Yep, Dalamar the Dark is a character in Dragonlance. Black bunny that he is, it seemed appropriate at the time. Having gotten to know him now, Dalamar the daft is much more fitting
His sister was originally called Tanis, when we thought she was a he.. now we know better, so she's called Kitiara (also from Dragonlance).

Indeed, I love the books. I've got far too many left to read, and an ever growing pile of other books to read
As for Tasslehoff - definitely! One day I'll get around to naming rats after DL characters (at the moment our rats are named after Streetfighter 2 characters and X men).. but I can well imagine a rat named Tasslehoff.

As long as he was as caring as Flint is deep down that might work. Certainly a ratty Flint with pasta would probably act quite appropriately if ratty Tasslehoff tried to part him from it
