you can actually do something similar in photoshop using the pen tool, make sure your brushes are sized the way you want and then with the right brush type, create the path you want with the pen tool, right click and stroke the path and there ya go=]

I try to stay away from photoshop, if at all possible. Illustrator will always be my true love.
