Ticus and Corone have built their friendship over the years, and when they discover their feelings for each other are stronger than they should, they have to rely on their professinality to keep things in check.

Corone's markings and colours are designed after a bird, which shall not be named before the revealing drawing about it when it is finished. The clue is hidden within their family names, however.

He he, my Latin is really bad, I only know a handful or so bird species by Latin and I can't for the life of me figure out these two. That's a really nice touch though to link them to actual birds. I like it.

For these two, first came their names and then their appearances. And since turians are avians, I though that bird-names would be nice familynames for turian charaters.

When I started working with Mass Effect characters, turians in particular, I found this really neat list of Roman names. Turians are supposedly based on ancient Roman society so it's only natural to use Roman sounding names. It was really good for seeing how names are built and constructed. Let me see if I still have it bookmarked.

Yeah, the Roman references in Turians were the original idea to start using latin words as Turian names, since isn't latin originated from Roman Empire or something like that?
