Contest entry forA redesign of their character, Stendhal.

The only stipulations were that his main colors be kept red and black, that he hand feathers from his horns, and that he have lots of regal feathers. ^-^
I decided to try to make him kind of pheasanty, which was a bit of a challenge. Still not super sure about his markings, but I really like his design in general; he's so poofy-floofy! : D

I just painted the dots on in photoshop; if you look closely at them they're not very symmetrical, lol. XD

Yup. It's really not that hard with a tablet, or even a mouse.
You just draw them on, or click them on. I used a low opacity eraser to go over them and fade most of them away as well so they weren't quite so harsh. For the colored ones I added a clipping mask above the original layer and put a gradient down on that. : )
