sadly it was starting to get a little dark when I took this, I pretty much just jumped out of the car and took it without checking the camera first and jumped straight back into the car. I didn't realize I had left the ISO so high until later when it was too late to go back and get it again

but still, thanks anyway

I am aware of this but still, thank you for the advice

unfortunately, I didn't have a tripod with me as this was a little but of a spur of the moment thing. I (stupidly) forgot to check what the camera was set to before taking the photo and by the time I had realized what I had done I had allready moved on to another area and missed my oppertunity.

I will probably return there to try again another time when I have a tripod and a more attentive mind with me

Ah, I have come across this problem many times, believe me. I bought my first tripod a few months ago, but alas when you spend $30 on something that mounts a camera, it's going to be shitty! The 'cheap' one that I'm looking at getting now is $230... *sigh* I keep my current one in my car just incase I drive into a photo opportunity

A beautiful shot! Be careful when setting your ISO levels. The higher the number, the quicker the shutter-speed will be. This can be beneficial when photographing in low light without a tripod, but it will also add noise to your photo. In twilight/dark situations, try to set your ISO to 100 or 200 - that way, the light will have much more opportunity to enter slowly, making the outcome clearer. My diagnosis: a sturdy tripod!
(Sorry if you already knew that!)
