Soul FoodEven though the numbat is a real animal, like the Thylacine in this series, I'm going with a bit of magic realism here. Termites don't glow, and they certainly don't glow in a numbat's belly! Nor do numbats shoot blue bursts of energy out of their bodies (it's true, I checked).

Yeah, I have... destroyed too many of my pastel pieces. I'm glad I did in one way - because it was them or me, and I'm lucky to be alive after some of the dark places I've been in... but so sad in another. I liked this picture.

This is absolutly stunning. I love the tones of colour. I think the addition of the red flowers is the perfect final touch to this piece. For some reason I also really love that horizontal orange line across the background, adds a nice touch that draws your eyes further back into the piece. Wonderful work. I love it.

But more seriously, this is an amazing work. I've never worked with Numbat, but I adore the earthbound form. Such neat little animals! You rock my world ^-^
