KIRK: “Trelane, is that you?”

TRELANE: “Why yes, Captain. I’m flattered that you remember me!”

KIRK: “You’re . . . not that easy to forget.”

SPOCK (with a raised eyebrow and a look of utter disdain): “Although not for lack of trying. . .”

KIRK: “Trelane, you pusillanimous dandy, what’s the meaning of this? Why have you brought us onboard the Constitution?”

TRELANE: “Well, Captain, (or is it admiral now?) I was so disappointed with how our last encounter ended that I wanted to make sure that you and Mr. Spock were present to witness a much more satisfying encounter. You see, I’ve pitted two of your Federation starships against an entire flotilla of warships from another galaxy! It’s a sort of David and Goliath battle to the death. It’s all very exciting, and I must say that, unlike you, Captain Drake here has been making a good show of it so far.

And since the battle is just coming to a head, I wanted you to be present (in your old uniforms for old times sake) for the exciting conclusion.

I’ll keep you two confined here on deck 4, so you’ll have no ability to interfere, but you can watch events unfold on a monitor. If the Constitution survives, (which I very much doubt) then you get the last laugh. But if she is destroyed, well then, let’s just say. . . you won’t be laughing ever again.

Now, Captain Drake, there are still two more Imperial ships out there, gunning for you. Don’t you have places to go, . . . and people to see?”

DRAKE: “M-6, what is the current location of Captain Dexter Franco?"

M-6: "Captain Franco is currently in a Jefferies Tube, specifically, Engineering Circuit Bay G-121."

DRAKE: "If you’ll excuse me, Admiral, . . . Mr. Spock.”

Drake runs off towards Circuit Bay G-121.
