I've built this plane both as a 1/48 scale replica AND a free-flight glider years back. Man this thing looked really weird when it flew. I remember it reminding me of a cross between a small bird and a frog with its legs squatted out or stretched back. Especially when seeing it from the back and I would get low skimming flights to the ground. It usually made flights up to around 120-130 foot distances depending on the headwind that I had. Flew very smooth and stable. I'll never forget it. I had made about 7 prototypes before settling on the 8th one as the best. Your design is spot on- cool.

Great glider story! I built a few gliders when I was a kid, but they always ended up getting broken. So later on, I tended to build only desktop models. Now I mostly build CAD models.
Yeah, the F-117 has a unique shape. It has some weird angles, but somehow it still looks pretty mysterious.
