Description

The MC-75 Star Cruiser is my favorite of the Mon Calamari Cruiser designs.  While most Mon Calamari designs are comprised of entirely organic lines, the MC75, by contrast, has been refit with a “weapons collar” which has a decidedly militaristic and mechanical look to it.  (It makes me wonder if the weapons collar was designed by Corellians.)

This ship’s main bridge is located in the command bridge pod, at the bottom of the ventral fin.

The side view gives us a good look at the “Ordnance Pod” mounted just behind the ventral fin.

Are you planning on doing any of the variants of this and the mc85 that appear in rise of skywalker

I wasn't planning on it.  Were the MC75's in "Rise of Skywalker" different from the one in Rogue One?  That's interesting.  I guess I just assumed that they used the same model.  What sorts of differences are we talking about?

That's interesting!  But it's also been interesting to see how little effort the good folks at Lucasfilm have made to provide images or data on any of these awesome ships.  I mean, somebody went to all the trouble to build all of these cool ships, (the new B-Wing, an updated Fang Fighter, etc. etc. etc.) and yet there seems to be little to no images or data made available to the fans, aside from the occasional blurry screengrab.  It's a curious choice to me.  Maybe additional data will dribble out at some later date.  I certainly hope so.  It seems like you could fill a nice thick coffee table book with images from that fleet alone.  Thanks for your interesting comment.

Thanks!  That was a fun video!  But it also makes my point.  So they have allegedly designed 55 new ships for this movie, and they highlight that fact by showing us only about half of these ships in the video.  And they show off all 22 of those fun fantastic new ships in a 2 second long rapid-fire clip.  It's like they don't really want anyone to see them.  I wonder if there is a really good book out there somewhere documenting all of these ships, and I just haven't discovered it yet.

This design is from Star Wars, I know, BUT this ship REALLY looks a lot like the "Starship Titanic" from the cover art of the book of the same name.

Wow!  It really does!  Well, I guess Star Wars designers are allowed to be inspired by stuff too!
