Maned Wolf.Chrysocyon brachyurus - Maned Wolf.
This photo was taken on the 10/8 - 2013.
Woah, a photo from 2013! I forgot that I managed to get a decent
shot of the maned wolf. They are usually never out in their enclosure, at least not where
visitors can see them. I always thought that the zoo had two maned wolves, but I saw a video
that they uploaded a while ago and I can ensure you that there were a lot more than two maned wolves.
I would love to get more shots of these guys and I hope I get to see them a lot more this year.
Location: Nordens Ark, Sweden.
Camera: Canon EOS 60D.
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM.

There are so few enclosures where maned wolves feel happy, I guess. Here in Germany I don't know very many. This capture nevertheless looks very beautiful and with a satisfied canine

This zoo does put the animals needs before the visitors. The maned wolves has a really big enclosure - which I didn't know until I saw a video about the zoo and they don't force the animals to be outside or to be visible for the visitors. They have places in their enclosures where they can get away from everyone and everything, which I think is good!

I've only seen maned wolves in two zoos here in Sweden and both of the zoos do have big enclosures for them, which is good!
