Finallly, after three weeks this painting is finally done. =u= Geez... painting takes forever, seriously... my feet hurt so much right now.
This is for an assignment in my painting class. We had to take images from either books or the internet and somehow put them together in a nice way following some rules of composition. Lol, being the dork that I am, I chose artwork of Date and Yukimura. They were from two completely different artists but they shared a similar color scheme so it wasn't too hard to put the images together.
Honestly, the hardest part of this was making the skin tones... >> It took me forever to get a decent color since we only use the primary colors plus white. Hnnnnnng.... so much paint was wasted because they weren't the right shade.

Oh yeah, skin tones are such a pain to get just right when just using white and primary colors. But wow such a great job with the skin tone and everything else! 
I is jealous that you can make the painting look so smooth~ I can't do that at all XD

Did you start off with the foreground or background? I'm trying to collect tips on how to paint. I haven't done it in a while and I figured I should start off with my watercolors >:3c

I started off with the background. It's then easier to paint the main subject matter. :>

That makes sense. See, I would do the opposite sometimes and it messes up the foreground which then results in me painting a blob on the drawing :'D *gets frustrated easily* I'll try that sometime when I practice more with my watercolor pencils.
Aha, yeah watercolors are tricky. You've got to have the right amount of water on the brush to get the color you want or else you're done for with a soggy piece of paper :'D

No it's not u__u' But at least there is extra paper to use lying around for me. I can practice on those until I get hold of the water situation~
So am I, I mean, they make the colors so crisp and not run together. It's amazing. Darn, now I feel like water coloring something. I don't know what though.
