Great costume. Awesome maille hauberk! Did you make it yourself entirely? I know how much work and time it takes to make one. However, wouldn't it be more historically correct to turn the ring pattern 90deg? So the maille can fit the body a little better?Β

Thanks! Yeap, hauberk is made completely by our two-man workshop from a steel wire. Actually the direction of rings is an accident and you are correct.

Hurts a little, but the reason is a swords belt. Despite that swords from pvc and plywood is really light it feels heavy after some hours in this costume.)

This chainmail made of steel, so yeah - it is sturdy and quite heavy, something about 8 kilograms. Other parts made of PVC and very light.
