I remember running through the fields, the tall grass covering us from view. I remember playing games, and wrestling, too. Memories come and go of better days, but you.. You are a prominent part of all of them, of everything I was and am.

I remember following you around like a pup, though.. Heh, I guess I was just a pup back then, wasn't I? You were big and strong and I looked up to you and oh how I loved you.

Through lifetimes you made a promise to find me, to continue to love me no matter what happened, forever and always.

And now you've come home, and I think I finally have, too.

And though I could not stop for death,
he kindly stopped for me.
You transcended time
To prove to me
Love's immortality.
