My submission for a contest, held by *Lai-Tut , on Subeta. This is my first time entering a contest and I am very excited! I have never drawn a Moogle before, but I had a lot of fun with this image; I also learned a few new things in Photoshop. I hope that she likes it, regardless of whether I place or not in the contest. C : <3His little friend is a Golden Chirrup, which is a creature from Subeta. C :

Thank you! The contest allowed us to use any moogle design ever used throughout the series, and I definitely wanted to go with something more realistic. So I went with the FF XII style moogles. C :

HOLY FREAKING COW!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!! I don't even know where to begin or what to say! I love this so mmuch! Your style is freaking AMAZING! Every time I look at this I find more and more about it that I love. I think most of all I enjoy that you picked something other then steampunk to do him on lol. And the design is brilliant. I love all the details you added in- like the gold/yellow parts on him. Or the part on his neck. And the SHIELD!!! It is such a perfect touch, you can tell that you really thought the design out and had a lot of fun with it. I also really insanely enjoy that you added the Golden Chirrup! I think it adds that extra bit of fantasy feel that I yearn for. And the lighting from it is brilliant. I really love the way you drew and colored it too! So smooth and eye catching!!
There is so much about this that I love. The way you drew his boots, the way you drew his ears, the style of his nose! The way you did the lighting on this to make the armor look shiny! EVERYTHING, it is brilliant. I can't thank you enough for entering my contest! You are such a great artist, I am amazed this is the first contest you have ever entered! You work very fast, and what you come up with is amazing for lack of a better word. You should enter more contests!

Oh I am SO glad that you like him! I noticed that everyone was going the steampunk route, so I wanted to do something a bit different. I love steampunk, but I also love making warriors out of creatures that would likely be widely underestimated. So since nobody had really done anything medievil yet, I thought I'd give it a shot. C :
I chose to include the Chirrup becuase you wanted to use this as a character for your pet, so I figured I should include something from Subeta - plus those Chirrups are just so magical looking. Also, I wanted to fill the empty space next to him. Without something there, the image looked unbalanced. So I'm glad the Chirrup worked out.
When I get really into an image I will often work on them exclusivly until I finish - I just get so excited. I actually took quite a few breaks in between working on this. Overall I'd guess it took about...2 hours? He was a lot of fun. : D
Again, shoot - I am so glad that you like him! Really, I am just electric with excitment about this. This has been such a fun experience already, I may have to look into joining other contests in the future. C :

I was wondering, whenever you are able to get back online- if there is a way I might be able to get a version without the white background, so I can use it for a pet profile for him? :3 If not, do you mind my editing it out on my own?

My goodness, please please forgive my lateness! I have been so horribly busy at work as of late; I don't think I have slept in my own bed in almost 4 weeks. : C
As for the image - admittedly, I am not very skilled with Photoshop and do not actually know how to do tricks like that; but you are absolutely free to do your own editing if you'd like. C :
As for the prize info! I will note you with my information and what not. I can not tell you how exciting it is to get a pair of your amazing goggles! You are such a talented manufacturer of steampunk items. : D

Thank you very much! He was so much fun to design. I am glad the Chirrup worked out. The was just this glaring empty space next to him before and so I just had to fill it. I wanted to use a Subeta creature since this contest is to create a character for one of her pets, named Moogle. : )
