Description I sucked on my victim's neck, two small wounds releasing his warm blood on his icy skin. Probably because of fear, but I don't care. I let him fall limply on the ground, licking the specks of blood on my lips.

"Arianna?"

I smiled as a young man in black, slightly older than me, stepped out of the shadows. He kissed my cheek softly.

"It's good that you're back, Master." He smiled back at me, while running his fingers through my long silver hair. "But there hasn't been any trouble while you were gone."

"I told you not to call me Master, he said, his voice low. "I'm not someone for you to respect." He never changed. The wind blew overhead, ruffling our hair. It was nearly dawn. "Let's go now, Rui, before twilight comes." He held my hand, pulling me into the shadows. Like before, the first time, our bodies seemed to meld with the dark, into emptiness. Lord Corvinus, my master, didn't teach me yet this ability, how to navigate within this darkness. Then, I felt my feet hit solid ground-we were back at my apartment. I closed the thick curtains and sat down on the couch.

"How was your business, Lord Bran?" He sat down beside me, and sighed.

"They didn't want to have a silver haired vampire to join us," he said, a mild expression of anger in his face. "They believe that, having someone like you is a disgrace to their race." He looked at me, and held my hand tightly. "But I won't let then take you away."

I thanked him dearly for sparing me, for his kindness. For the hundredth time, he spared me from what should've happened to me-instant death. Having the blood of an angel in me, it gave me resistance to the common weaknesses of vampires. But I wouldn't have their powers of darkness.

"Thank you, Lord-"

"Don't call me Lord, I told you, Arianna. Just call me Bran."

"OK, Bran. But, why are you sparing me? It would just bring your downfall..." He moved closer to me, and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"It's because...the day I granted your request to be a vampire, I already knew what was to come. An angelic vampire would be considered as a catastrophe to our race. I won't let you go, because I love you."

I smiled at him, feeling the devil inside me smile as well. He will never know. Blinded by love, should I say. Foolish.

"Thanks, Bran, me too." I closed my eyes, as he kissed my lips. He was cold, and I hated it. After the kiss I showered him with my smiles, and turned to my room. Inside the room, I took out a silver dagger, inscribed with symbols I couldn't read. I peered through the small opening at my door, and saw Bran still on the couch, sleeping. It's my chance. I walked quietly toward him, the dagger held firmly in my hand. I raised the dagger, to stab him on the heart. But at that moment he opened his blank gray eyes. I dropped the dagger in shock, and he stood up.

"Do you think that I'm susceptible to that kind of thing?" He said, his voice emotionless. "Oh, on the other hand, you were much of an ignorant girl to realize things." He picked up the silver dagger, and toyed with it. "You would never know..." I felt the apartment melt away and it changed to black. Nothing but black.

"What are you trying to do?" I shouted, trying to keep the fear out of my voice. A cold laugh answered.

"You're now in my realm now, Arianna," Bran said, in his cold tone. "The darkness is where the evil will be punished, the fallen comforted....you deserve to die, there isn't room for the two of us in the world." I heard the cries of ravens around me, and they started to peck at my skin, leaving angry gashes with their claws. Suddenly, Bran's face was instantly in front of me, and I stepped back, feeling a wall. Nowhere to go. Bran smiled down at me, at my panic-stricken face.

"What are you going to do to me now, Bran?" I asked, my voice shaking. His mocking smile widened. He casually stepped toward me, and put his hand on my cheek. In a fraction of a moment he pulled out something long and sharp and thrust it in my torso. In that same moment he kissed my lips. He licked the blood off my skin as he kissed me, and after a while he stapped back and retrieved the sword.

"How does it feel to die? Does it hurt, Arianna?" he said as I fell to the floor, panting. Blood rushed out of me, creating a pool.

"How dare you-" the words were stopped by an abrupt spurt of blood in my mouth. Everything was falling...and the sight of Bran Corvinus, the Lord of Ravens, would remain etched in my mind, his mocking smile, his bloodred lips, the silver sword he held in his hand.
