irestar and Craven landed lightly before the defensive villain, a luminous starbolt glowing on the Tameranean's fist. As Craven looked upon the shadowed face of the unnamed theif, his eerie premonition of wrongness grew stronger- a cold chill slithering down his spine.
Firestar: Please, surrender now. We do not wish to harm you.
Then it hit him- it hit him like a fist to the stomach. The aura surrounding their suspect was too familiar- too painfully recognizable. He knew who she was.
Craven: No....
His voice was so small and despondent that it drew Firestar's attention. He glanced at his partner, the usual innocent concern written on his face. It was a valuable distraction in favor of the enemy.
Firestar: Craven? Craven what is wrong? Do you-
He was cut short as Craven gave a desperate cry of "Duck!", grabbed the startled Tameranean around the neck and threw them both to the ground. Behind them a bomb exploded in a fiery display of deafening porportion. They were saved only by the quick appearance of a large black bird- Craven's magical aura.
The only though that ran through the empath's mind at the time was: has she gone crazy?
