Happy birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!Hehe. Gosh, here is a depressing piece. Despite one's overwealming happiness that it is one's birthday this came about after a long work week of one thought permeating one's being. 'i have worked very hard for my little slice of nothing'.
I showed this to my mum, being as I was excited to finish it... and exclaimed to my mum, "Mum.. Mum.. Look what I drew!!" She didn't seem impressed. She glared at me and said "why don't you paint be grateful for what you have". Hahahaha. I should draw myself floating in happiness surrounded by soy lattes, red bull energy drinks, a laptop and a high speed internet connection.
This was a great experiement. I drew this out in flash and colored it in photoshop. I really like the end result and it was super fast in how it came together.

Nice effect you got there on the hands, it'll sound real cheesy, I know, but it almost looks like real paint
I think birthdays are ΓΌber depressing myself... can't stand them. I like too think that the hands and all is the pressure you get on yourself from others, especially during things like this. You may have thought of something else when drawing it but I find something to relate to personally when I think like that.
I probably should stop babbling and go on wth my life. Hope that everything's fine with you Ray!

Reminds me of my mom.. I showed her a painting and she asks why I didn't paint ___ instead of ___, because 'it would have looked happier'
