1/3 of my final project for one of my classes. The theme was "Dark Fantasy"
This is a combo of digital painting and minimal photomanipulation.
This took quite a few hours to really get the colors I desired - I typically struggle with colors and work in black and white primarily. However this time I purely worked in color and blocked quite a few ones together. I haven't done digital painting work in quite sometime so this was a ton of fun!

Thank you! I'm certainly glad it looks that way. I deliberately tried to go out of my comfort zone with color choices (like the purples in her hair. ._. I just wanted to be safe and use greys!) I saved the file in .PNG format probably 8 times throughout the process so that I could send the image to my phone and view it on there ...simply to check color

You bet! I do the same thing - at the beginning, middle, and end, I just stare and stare at the work. Then once I push it out, I stare at it some more. It's like a hunt to find where things can get better next time - I love it.
