Shot with my handy dandy Canon Powershot A610...yep...good old point and shoot
I actually saw these flowers in someone's back yard at a birthday party and thought they could make a pretty shot. Luckily when I bought my camera I purposely chose a point and shoot with manual controls and a good macro setting...and voila! I also have a color version (slightly different shot but the same flower) called Fantasia here: [link] It's funny how the same flower can evoke such different emotions when you toy around with color a bit.
I just always love this shot because it reminds me that you don't always need to spend $1000+ on camera equipment to get a beautiful shot
