If you remember I posted a new character called Maltease.

This is one of her friends.

Osier (pronnounced Oh-See-er, or 'Ossie' for short) is a quite timid and anxious tree spirit who lives and works in an abandoned church. He has since transformed the church into a healing centre for mythical beings drawing on his skills with plants and natural remedies. While he is drawn to human culture, architecture in particular, he is afraid to directly approach humans for fear of scaring them. Loves helping others, model houses (he has a small collection) and the sound of rain on leaves. He is very timid around large fires as fire is the only thing that can do him real harm.

Ossie is actually pretty powerful as Dryads go, being able to command trees and vines to his will. Despite his quiet nature he is fiercely loyal to his friends and will not hesitate to use his powers against those who do wrong. The bark patches on his body actually grow off his skin (which is sap-like and soft) and while it can be removed and re-grown it's a painful process. While technically Ossie has no particular gender (being a plant creature he is technically Unisexual) he sways towards male pronouns to keep things simple for others.
