This is powerfull because it can relate to so many people ( including me), because it's such a styrong emotional shot. I absolutely adore the lighting heree.

thank you, I can't wait till I can finally live with mine, we've been together two years and sometimes it can be so rough, but we love each other, good luck for you and yours ^.^

nice shot
You've framed the scene really well and there's loads of guides to take the viewer's eye around the whole image.
I began with her arm on the right, which took me down the phone wire, then up her left arm and to her face which took me to the images...very well done that, it's really good for being able to take in the whole feeling of the image.
The look on her face is great, it's well suited to the image. The b&w is also very well suited, it heightens the feeling of missing her children
The lighting and tonal range is fantastic.
I also quite like what the watch adds to the image, the effect of time on that feeling of missing your loved ones and how it deepens that feeling and also affects your love, sometimes making it fonder sometimes erasing it...though in the case of children, the love would only stay.
One of the better portraits I have seen here, it has real feeling and doesn't come across as contrived or trying to be something. You've provided all the guides and set the image up so that the viewer reacts in a certain way, but they're subtle, I don't feel like you're telling me what to think, merely presenting a scene.
Well done

This is an excellent portrait. The expression you captured on her face gives the feeling that she is sad to be so far away, yet at that moment she feels relieved and happy to hear the voice on the other end of the line. The darkness and her somewhat tired look makes me think of having to call at very odd hours due to a time difference.
I think I might light this one a little more that "Waiting". I'm not quite sure why. Hm, despite the fact that her face doesn't change, this shot seems more expressive to me. Either way, they're both great.
