Shutong was a name suggested by ~SilverThreads that is supposedly Chinese for 'water child'

She's naturally camouflaged when underwater.
Her hands are larger than normal for most. It's so she can swim easily.
It's awkward for her to wear pants, so she wears skirts and dresses.

In a loose sense of the word, she's a babysitter for Rayne. That mostly means she's there when Rayne's not at the Lupins', or when her mother isn't there.
Her main purpose is to keep Rayne company, help her with schoolwork, etc.
And, if she gets scared, she actually has someone to comfort her instead of just being scared.

It's really hard for me not to call her Suchong
