And here we see Brett for the first time being a serious person. I've always made him more out to be the comic relief-- but everyone must grow at some point.

By the way-- Brett isnt really tall for no reason-- he is still on the stairs...

I like Brett's expression in the last panel-- he isnt going at it with sudden admiration for his father-- he knows his father left-- so he is still in judgment of his estranged father at this point. Despite knowing that he left the family and from the bit he knows isnt a good person-- he still wants to meet him, because its only natural for people to want to meet their parents. If anything, Rachel is the exception in slamming the door...
